ScribeRuler is a free audio and video to text tool that runs the open-source Whisper speech recognition model (MIT license) inside your browser. Your recordings are never uploaded to us.
How it works. The first time you transcribe, your browser downloads the model files (about 40 MB for Fast, about 80 MB for Accurate) from this site and a code library from jsDelivr. They are cached, so later visits start faster. The audio is decoded and transcribed on your own device.
Honest limits. Speech recognition makes mistakes, especially with names, technical terms, heavy accents, music and noisy rooms. Small in-browser models are less accurate than large server models. Always proofread.
Who is behind it. ScribeRuler is published by Ecomparadise, LLC and edited by Alex. We build small, single-purpose tools, test them in real browsers, and explain plainly what they can and cannot do.
